Emirates Airlines, named the World’s Best Airline by Skytrax, has once again been awarded the title of the world’s most valuable airline brand in 2016. According to the global brand value report published by UK-based brand consultancy Brand Finance, Emirates’ brand value increased by 17% compared to the same period last year, climbing impressively to 171st globally. This marks its fifth appearance on the list since 2009, with its brand value more than doubling.

2015 marked the 30th year of Emirates’ operations and a year of growth and innovation. The airline launched services to 6 new destinations, expanding its network to 150 destinations worldwide. It also took delivery of 26 new aircraft, making it the airline with the world’s largest fleets of Boeing B777s and Airbus A380s.

In terms of onboard facilities, Emirates upgraded the personal screens in both First Class and Economy Class to the largest in the industry. Its ice inflight entertainment system, which has been recognized by Skytrax for 11 consecutive years, now offers over 2,200 channels in its updated version. The mobile app and mobile website make it even easier for passengers to book their travel.

Additionally, Emirates has more than 11 million followers across social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google+, making it the largest transportation brand on social platforms.
