Chen Guoguang, Chairman of the Gongliao District Fishermen’s Association, said that many tourists visiting Gongliao not only want to know where to enjoy Gongliao abalone dishes but also where to buy the abalone itself. To serve the public, the New Taipei City Government and the Gongliao District Fishermen’s Association have supported local aquaculture farmers under the association’s production and sales groups.

This year, fresh Gongliao abalone has gone on sale at the Gongliao Abalone Holiday Inn along Provincial Highway 2. With the current abalone season in full swing, Gongliao abalone makes a delicious and generous addition to your New Year feast. Come shop for some, or head to local restaurants in Gongliao to enjoy tasty abalone dishes. For those unable to make it in person, you can also order fresh Gongliao abalone through the fishermen’s association website.

Director of Agriculture Li Wen stated that "Gongliao Abalone" is a brand promoted by the New Taipei City Government to highlight locally farmed high-quality Pacific and blacklip abalones. The government also guides businesses in self-management to obtain the New Taipei City “Agricultural and Fishery Product Safety Label” certification. This year, it will continue to assist businesses in applying for the “Traceability Production and Sales System.” Successful applicants will showcase Gongliao abalone’s “safe, local” advantages nationwide, boosting its visibility and sales. The Gongliao Abalone Holiday Inn is open until February 10th, operating on weekends from 10:00 to 16:00. There are a total of five locations between Longdong and Aodi along Provincial Highway 2, where you can purchase the freshest Gongliao abalone directly from farmers of the Gongliao District Fishermen’s Association’s production and sales groups.
