To welcome the cherry blossom season, Tokyo’s most iconic tourist attraction, Tokyo Skytree, is implementing special lighting from March 1 to April 10, donning soft pink cherry blossom-colored lights that add a romantic atmosphere to Tokyo’s spring nights.

Tokyo Skytree holds special lighting events during special seasons or holidays, and this year, to celebrate the Tokyo cherry blossom season in March and April, it will feature a two-phase special lighting event from March 1 to April 10. The first phase of the special lighting runs from March 1 to 18, themed “Bloom,” using soft pink lights to showcase the beauty of cherry blossoms in full bloom; the second phase runs from March 19 to April 10, themed “Dance,” using darker pink lights to depict the fluttering motion of falling petals.
