Central Taiwan’s most beautiful sea of lights—Chi Mu Museum transforms into the “Hope Power Station”

Since 2013, the Chi Mei Pure Art Cultural Foundation has launched the Hope Lighting Campaign, inviting everyone to adopt love-themed lamp cups for creative expression, decorate them with hopeful designs, and display the lamp cup artworks across the grass and tree branches. Now, Chi Mu Museum in Taichung has transformed into the “Hope Power Station,” connecting 5,000 light decorations from the grass to the treetops, forming the most beautiful and heartwarming seascape of lights. The event runs from now until March 6.

This year’s “Hope Power Station” event at Chi Mu Museum generates currents of hope through the handwritten warmth and loving actions of participants, becoming a source of comforting energy. 5,000 lights of hope cover the site, each glowing with hand-drawn wishes from participants, transforming Chi Mu Museum into a luminous forest radiating warmth and hope. The Grand Lobby exhibition area serves as the convergence point for all the energy in the space, with laser beams projected from a height of 16 stories, connecting surrounding buildings to construct a layered interplay between spaces and architecture. When night falls, the interwoven lights create a green-light forest rising from the darkness, illuminating the entire starry sky.
