Dogs’ sand sculptures reach unprecedented levels of cuteness — a top winter & Chinese New Year destination

The Nantou International Sand Sculpture Art & Culture Park has launched its Dog Year-themed event on January 28, marking the nation’s only inland sand sculpture project. This year, they are using rare salt-free, earthy-scented golden river sand from Nantou to create the world’s only sand sculpture art village that doesn’t require sun-drying, offering a unique visual experience through eco-friendly, nature-inspired sand art.

Nantou’s sand sculpture art has reached its tenth year. To actively develop the county’s cultural characteristics and create an internationally renowned sand sculpture leisure tourism space, this year’s sculptures will incorporate lighting to showcase different features, bringing delightful surprises to visitors.

Dream zones, sand sculpture competitions, and creative DIY areas all feature works created to international standards, with over twenty sand sculpture masters invited from Japan, Korea, Canada, China, and Taiwan.
