● Samcheong-dong Street
With its traditional Korean hanok architecture infused with modern elements, Samcheong-dong is one of Seoul’s most scenic neighborhoods and a favorite among couples. Here, you might easily find yourself captivated by beautiful murals and delicate items—even ordinary flower shops and quaint cafes make for great photo spots. The atmosphere feels like strolling through a gallery, and time flies as you explore.

● Tongin Market
Tongin Market was featured on MBC’s variety show “Infinite Challenge,” and it’s especially known for its deep-fried tteokbokki and tteok galbi (short rib skewers). When visiting Tongin Market, be sure to check out the “Lunchbox Cafe.” Here, you can freely pick your favorite street food from the market and pay using special brass coins—an experience that’s both unique and fun.

● Seochon
Seochon got its name because it is located to the west of Gyeongbokgung Palace. Since ancient times, it has been known for producing many artists. In Seochon, you can find hanok houses with a completely different vibe from those in Bukchon Hanok Village, alongside modern buildings. Among them, a music box shop built in a contemporary style gained fame as a filming location for the MBC popular drama “She Was Pretty,” making it a new highlight in Seochon.

● Gyeongbokgung Palace
Gyeongbokgung Palace is an absolute must-visit when traveling in Seoul. As the principal palace of the Joseon Dynasty, its vast grounds and orderly arrangement of buildings are its most distinctive features. It’s recommended to visit during the changing of the guard ceremony. The ceremony takes place daily (except Tuesdays) at 10 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM, each lasting about 15 minutes—you definitely shouldn’t miss this spectacular event. After the ceremony, you can then take your time exploring the exquisite architecture within the palace.
