The renowned Japanese photographer Mika Ninagawa launched a large-scale world tour retrospective exhibition in 2016. The overseas premiere was held from March 19 to May 8 at MOCA Taipei Contemporary Art Museum, and the news has generated great excitement among fans.

Mika Ninagawa’s works consistently exhibit a daring, innovative, and diverse style. Her pieces often feature imagery such as flowers, goldfish, and women rendered in rich, saturated colors, creating dreamy yet realistic scenes that highlight her unique artistic identity and Japanese cultural elements. This special exhibition is not only her first major retrospective but also the first stop of her global tour. In addition, a special collaboration between Mika Ninagawa and the drink Iyemon Green Tea features limited-edition packaging available exclusively at 7-Eleven. Mika Ninagawa herself attended the press conference for the exhibition’s opening on March 17. Lexus’s official distributor in Taiwan, Hotai Motor, also announced a collaboration with Mika Ninagawa to launch a specially painted RX vehicle. A bold and avant-garde installation artwork will also be displayed at Mika Ninagawa’s solo exhibition at Taipei Museum of Contemporary Art.
