The Fuji Shibazakura Festival (Fuji Shibazakura Matsuri) is a flower spectacle that began in 2008 and is the largest shibazakura event in the Kanto region. It typically takes place from mid-to-late April through May, peaking in May. This year’s Fuji Shibazakura Festival runs from April 16 to May 29, with the main venue at the Fujizawa Motosuko Resort. The grounds are open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The massive display features 800,000 shibazakura plants, with their pink blooms creating a stunning contrast against the peaks of Mount Fuji and the surrounding grasslands — a rare and beautiful early summer landscape. Admission is required: ¥600 for adults, ¥250 for children aged 3 and above. Please note that pets are not allowed. The venue also includes food stalls where visitors can enjoy meals while admiring the flowers.
