Stylish "food trucks" line up everywhere — Jeju Shinhwa World’s “Asian Food Street” is all the rage

Jeju Shinhwa World, Korea’s largest amusement park, has attracted countless visitors since its opening, featuring large-scale rides, hotels, and a wide variety of dining options that offer a brand-new travel experience. This time, it has brought in Chef Chan Wai Lun, former head chef of the Chinese restaurant at Singapore’s Four Seasons Hotel, to lead the creation of the distinctive “Asian Food Street.” It blends signature elements such as Thai, Vietnamese, and Singaporean cuisines, Japanese ramen, and xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), delighting the palates of food enthusiasts.

The newly opened “Asian Food Street” draws inspiration from Western food truck culture. The Vietnamese food truck features fine bamboo and conical hats commonly seen in Vietnamese culture, while the Anhui and Hong Kong trucks are decorated with traditional Chinese window lattices and lanterns — a refreshing sight. Strolling down Asian Food Street, you’ll find an array of aromatic street foods on both sides: Vietnamese pho, sour and spicy cold noodles, Hong Kong char siu rice, Thai spicy and sour shrimp soup, laksa, and Hainanese chicken rice, all tantalizing hungry travelers.
