What can you buy with 1 yen? With just 1 yen, you might be able to purchase over 50 Japanese and international luxury brand items at "Tokyo Outlet Week." Shopping is an essential part of many people's trips to Japan. Held in Tokyo in May, the limited three-day "Tokyo Outlet Week" event will take place from May 13 to 15. At least 50 Japanese and international fashion brands are expected to participate, with prices offered at up to 50% to 99% off. Based on past experience, there’s a chance you could take home items for just 1 yen.

"Tokyo Outlet Week" first launched in 2015 and attracted tens of thousands of visitors, especially with the gimmick of offering multiple brand clothing and accessory items for just 1 yen. In 2016, during the event period, 500 hidden items were offered every day, all for just 500 yen each. Entry to the event is free, but visitors must first register their email on the official website (https://tokyo-outletweek.com/) to receive a QR code. During the event, simply show the QR code to gain entry for shopping.
