With winter break approaching, Keelung’s National Museum of Marine Science & Technology today (24th) held the “4th Anniversary & Winter Break Series Discounts to Welcome the New Year” event, launching four gratitude gifts and the “Marine Science Museum Brings Prosperity for the New Year” series of themed activities. Various benefits invite visitors of all ages to come and enjoy the break.

The museum has launched a new “Fire Bear Year” ticket card starting today. By paying an annual fee of NT$700, visitors can enjoy unlimited free admission to the theme pavilions, the Ocean Theater, and partner stores for one year. Additionally, two new 3D Ocean Theater films, “Normandy Landings D-Day” and “Sharks,” will be screened during the winter break. Moreover, the “Science for Trendy Girls” program will offer limited science gift bags to female participants.

During the winter break and Lunar New Year period, visitors who shop at local specialty stores in Badou will receive a “Marine Science Museum + Qing’an Limited Edition Red Envelope.” Additionally, those presenting any museum ticket can enjoy further discounts when purchasing souvenirs at stores such as Xin Gan Bao Bei, Shi Zhi Yi, Xin ? Huo, Badou Yao, and Yu Pin Xuan.

January 26th marks the 4th anniversary of the museum’s opening. The “Four Gratitude Gifts” include half-price entry to the theme pavilions for January birthday celebrants visiting from January 23rd to 31st, regardless of weekdays or weekends, and free entry for January 26th (the museum’s birthday) for birthday guests. Other activities include “Ocean Adventure for Prizes,” “Time Post Office to Spread Happiness,” and “Limited Edition Merchandise at Best Value.”

Additionally, the 3rd floor of the theme pavilion will showcase limited-edition merchandise from the Marine Science Museum Trading Company, as well as co-branded products from the museum and Inprint Studio, including the “Trendy Fishing Village – The Fashionable Cloth of Badouzi” collection and a DIY workshop to create your own ocean-themed shoulder bag.

The museum stated that registrations for its various camps have already begun. Except for Lunar New Year’s Eve on February 15th, the museum will remain open daily throughout the winter break.
