This year, a total of 24 top sand sculpture artists from 13 countries participated, each infusing magical creativity to bring rich vitality to their works. The creations surpassed previous years, with 80 sand sculptures that are truly mesmerizing, making people exclaim “So amazing!” The exhibition runs from May 7th to July 10th. To promote life aesthetics and root sand sculpture art in the community, internationally renowned sand sculptor Teacher Wang Songguan (Wang Tuo) has been specially invited to conduct two sand sculpture teaching demonstrations during the event (on 5/28 and 6/04). Participants can learn how to find joy in playing with sand, achieve a sense of accomplishment, and sculpt their own vision of glory.

The 2016 theme focuses on showcasing world-class sand sculpture artistry. The golden sandy shores of Hualong on the Northeast Coast will use unique golden sand to depict the world’s top glories across various fields (architecture, painting, music, history and culture, etc.), such as the world’s most intense sprint race, the country with the densest butterflies, the tallest building in the world, the world’s most expensive famous painting, and more.
