The Snoopy Gashapon Cup Figure is Too Cute to Celebrate the Museum Opening

To celebrate the opening of the Tokyo branch of the Snoopy Museum in April 2016, Japanese capsule toy makers also released small SNOOPY figurines, combining them with the hottest "cup figure" concept to launch the “PUTITTO SNOOPY vol.1” series, which went on sale in June 2016.

This series of SNOOPY cup figures includes seven designs, one of which is a hidden edition. The news sent fans into a frenzy. The six known designs feature SNOOPY hugging WOODSTOCK, SNOOPY thinking with WOODSTOCK, an upside-down hanging SNOOPY, a sleeping SNOOPY with WOODSTOCK, a dangling SNOOPY, and WOODSTOCK teetering on the edge. Their lively poses make them especially amusing when placed on the rim of a cup.

Each SNOOPY cup figure is priced at 500 yen, while a full box (containing eight) is 4000 yen. The Snoopy Museum opened on April 23 and became a major hot spot for travel in Japan in 2016.
