American-style creative restaurant in Tainan – are you a "tough guy" or a "wimp"? This meal will tell!

Previously atBackseat Breakfast on Dapu Streethad always been one of my favorite brunch spots because enjoying high-calorie food while listening to music there was an absolute blast. However, it was closed for quite a while, and I later found out they had moved. The new location is in the alley behind Qiushou Charcoal Grill on Fufront Road, and the shop has been renamed Backseat Deli.

The menu items are still handwritten by the owner, so they probably change according to his mood (prices have also gone up slightly due to the move).

They now also offer set meals with some really fun names.

The interior decor remains as stylish as before.

Their stickers are super cool—I like to put them on my helmet.

The dining area is mainly located on the second floor, and there seem to be more seats than before.

"Girly Soak" Set Meal

Honestly, a true "girly soak" wouldn’t dare eat this kind of food that’s so easy to make you gain weight, since it could mess with their figure.

And a real tough guy (say, humble me) wouldn’t order it just because of the name either—I just happened to feel like having this dish.

The BBQ sirloin sandwich is mildly spicy, with gooey cheese and tender beef—it's actually pretty great for breakfast or lunch.

The peanut bacon sandwich is also made in my favorite American style—peanut butter + perfectly soft-boiled egg + bacon. One bite and you might just let out an “Mmm~”.

Although prices have gone up a bit after the move, the taste hasn’t changed at all, so when I’m craving this kind of high-calorie American food, I still come here. This post is just a casual write-up to let everyone know about the relocation.
