Taiwan Hot Air Balloon Festival to Kick Off in Taitung in July

The 2016 Taiwan Hot Air Balloon Festival will take place from July 1 to August 7 in Taitung. The previously well-received hot air balloon sunrise light show has been announced early this year, with six scheduled light show sessions. These can be enjoyed in areas such as Zhiben Hot Spring District, Daren, and downtown Taitung. If you want to learn more about the structure of hot air balloons and experience a unique summer job, the hot air balloon ground crew training courses hosted by Skysky Aviation are now open for registration. Upon completing the course, outstanding participants will have the opportunity to serve as ground crew for the 2016 Taiwan International Hot Air Balloon Festival, making friends with pilots from around the world. The registration fee is NT$2,000 per person. Residents of Taitung County or those with a student ID enjoy a discounted fee of NT$1,000. Retraining participants are charged a nominal fee of NT$300.
