Kyoto’s popular matcha specialty shop “Ippodo Tea” is entering the Taiwanese market by opening pre-orders for its best-selling product, the “Uji Matcha Swiss Roll,” on its official website. Each roll is priced at NT$630, with frozen delivery costing NT$150. Orders over NT$2,500 qualify for free shipping. The company reminds customers that the cakes are pre-ordered Japanese-made products, expected to arrive in Taiwan in July, with shipping dates to be notified afterward. The Uji Matcha Swiss Roll uses carefully selected high-quality Uji matcha leaves grown along the Uji River. Traditional stone-ground milling techniques are employed to produce matcha powder with natural sweetness, free from added fragrances or artificial coloring. The powder is sprinkled atop Ippodo Tea’s uniquely formulated matcha sponge cake and paired with rich Hokkaido fresh cream, making it the brand’s top-selling bestseller.
