After the opening of the Tamsui Port, Dadaocheng became the distribution center of goods for Taipei City under the governance of Liu Mingchuan. Today’s Yanping North Road and Guidede Street area were the commercial hubs at that time.
 
Santijiao
Santijiao, also known as Hougang, Liyutan, and other nearby areas, had historically served transport functions and was also a gathering site for boat dwellers. Over time, its transportation role diminished, and it gradually transformed into a scenic area. The area’s rich cultural atmosphere still reflects its past vibrancy.

Lin An-Tai Ancient House Folklore and Cultural Museum
The Lin An-Tai Ancient House was originally built in 1783 as a traditional single-story southern Fujian-style siheyuan courtyard with two courtyards. It was originally located on Dunhua South Road but was relocated to its current site on Binjiang Street due to road widening.

Taipei Story House
Built in 1913, it is a half-timbered construction building modeled after the Tudor style in England. The first floor uses brick as the load-bearing wall, with Ionic columns at the entrance; the second floor is a wooden structure with a branching tree-like wall surface made of wooden strips. The Gothic tower and chimney are made of brick, with the top arched eaves covered in copper tiles—the green patina being the mark of time.
