9 seconds to land from the sky!Taichung mall unveils first-ever indoor sky slide

The Taichung Taroko New Era Shopping Mall has built two indoor sky slides inside the complex, standing 9 meters high and stretching 16 meters in length. Sliding down takes as little as under 9 seconds — an exhilarating and thrilling experience. Trial operations run from now until June 30, with official opening on July 1.

Taroko New Era has imported two large stainless steel slides from Germany, reaching from the second to the third floor. The third-floor slide is 16 meters long and 9.4 meters high, while the second-floor slide is 11.5 meters long and 5.2 meters high. Both have passed EU Declaration of Conformity and SGS safety inspections for children's playgrounds, ensuring high-speed thrills in a safe environment.

From now until June 30, residents of Taichung City’s East District can present their ID card to enjoy one free ride on the second-floor slide. During the opening promotion period from July 1 to July 31, rides on the second-floor slide cost just 40 TWD (originally 60 TWD), and the third-floor slide is 60 TWD per ride (originally 90 TWD). Visitors are reminded that there are age, height, and weight restrictions for the sky slides, and those with cardiovascular conditions or pregnant women are advised not to use them.
