The first typhoon of the year, "Nepartak," formed on the morning of the 3rd. Its current center is located in the sea area southeast of Eluanbi, moving closer to the eastern waters of Taiwan. The Central Weather Bureau predicts it will strengthen into a moderate typhoon by the early morning of the 6th, and will be closest to Taiwan around the 7th, when there is also a possibility of it directly hitting the island.

Future intensification of Typhoon Nepartak and changes in the size of its storm zone are key factors affecting its impact on Taiwan. It is predicted to be closest to Taiwan on the 7th and 8th, but the path remains highly variable, so the threat to Taiwan should not be underestimated. Everyone is advised to prepare for the typhoon, and those with travel plans should keep an eye on weather and flight updates at all times.
