1. Taipei Water Festival

The 2016 Taipei Water Festival begins on June 25 and runs until August 31 at the Gongguan Water Park. In addition to the existing Water Town Garden, temporary play equipment will be installed to provide more space for water activities and relaxation. A series of educational programs, interactive facilities, and diverse events will also be held to promote healthy water play, ecological awareness, and cultural arts.

2. Yilan International Children's Folklore and Folkgame Festival

The 2016 Yilan International Children's Folklore and Folkgame Festival takes place from July 2 to August 14 at the Dongshan River Water Park. This year’s theme is “Childlike Heart ㄒㄧㄚ??,” focusing on the themes of “games,” “growth,” “performance,” and “exchange,” aiming to offer participants an authentic and joyful experience.

3. Taichung Blue Ocean Tourism Season

Taichung City is hosting the 2016 Taichung Blue Ocean Tourism Season, which runs from June 15 to August 13 at the Dajia Coastal Park. The event series kicks off with the “Dajia Coastal International Sand Sculpture Exhibition,” featuring 20 sand sculptures themed around the ocean. There will also be a creative sand sculpture competition, with Japanese female sand artist “Yuko Matsuki” traveling to Taiwan to compete alongside other top domestic and international sculptors.

4. Dongshi Fishing Harbor Sea Summer Festival

The whale pool and other water play facilities will also be open. It’s the perfect choice for family outings during the summer break.
