Singapore Airlines celebrates 50th anniversary of flights to Taiwan with promotional fares; round-trip to Australia starts at NT$20,000

To mark its 50th anniversary of serving Taiwan, Singapore Airlines will continue a series of events throughout 2017 to celebrate with Taiwanese travelers. In addition to discounted fares on popular routes, the airline will also collaborate with travel agencies to offer a variety of value-packed travel packages. From March 31 to April 3, the "A Great Way to Fly Travel Carnival" will be held in the Taipei Railway Station lobby, featuring activities such as photo ops with flight attendants, stage performances, and travel deals for the public to enjoy.

On April 1, 1967, Malaysia-Singapore Airlines (MSA) began flight services between Singapore and Taipei using the Comet IV aircraft, marking the start of steady operations in Taiwan. MSA split into two separate airlines in 1972, and the name Singapore Airlines was officially established. To celebrate 50 years of operations in Taiwan, Singapore Airlines is offering special promotional fares through its official website and travel agency partners.From March 15 to April 3, 2017, Singapore Airlines is offering special promotional fares for popular destinations. Travelers departing from Taiwan between April 10 and September 30, 2017, can fly to Singapore from just NT$7,888, to Europe from NT$21,818, to the Maldives from NT$26,958, to Sri Lanka from NT$21,978, and to Australia from NT$20,968.

Additionally, Singapore Airlines will host the "A Great Way to Fly Travel Carnival" in the first-floor lobby of Taipei Railway Station from March 31 to April 3. Visitors can take photos with Singapore Airlines flight attendants and complete challenge activities to enter a lucky draw, with a chance to win a round-trip ticket between Taipei and Singapore. The airline will also partner with travel companies to offer unique travel packages, including stunning Switzerland, romantic islands, natural wonders of New Zealand and Australia, vibrant Singapore, or even a luxurious 50-day around-the-world trip in celebration of the 50th anniversary.
