Kyushu Waffle Café from Japan’s Kyushu region introduces an all-new limited dish, “Japanese-Style Karaage Chicken Waffle,” exclusively at its Songshan store starting August 1. Karaage refers to Japanese-style fried chicken. Using a specially blended Japanese karaage seasoning and cooking method, Kyushu Waffle Café selects boneless chicken thighs to deliver a refreshing flavor distinct from both Taiwanese and American styles. Additionally, in August, Kyushu Waffle Café will launch a fan-exclusive event. During the promotion period, customers who order the “Japanese-Style Karaage Chicken Waffle” at the Songshan store, take a photo, and share their dining experience online may win a chance to receive a complimentary Kyushu Waffle Café duo set.

In Japanese cuisine, coating ingredients in dry flour or cornstarch before frying is called karaage. Compared to Western or Taiwanese frying styles, Japanese karaage features an even thinner and crispier crust. Paired with a waffle base, sprinkled with chopped fresh parsley, and topped with a refreshing slice of yellow lemon, the dish is finished with a homemade white wine honey sauce drizzled over both the karaage chicken and the waffle. The sauce, made with a hint of white wine and carefully selected Taiwanese honey—alcohol-free yet wine-scented—delivers a uniquely balanced flavor that perfectly harmonizes savory and sweet notes.

Alongside the arrival of the hot summer season, Kyushu also introduces a variety of refreshing new fruit-inspired smoothies, crafted with 100% natural fruits for a velvety texture. Each cup contains real, tangy fruit chunks and features fruit decals applied to the inner side of the transparent cup. The top is then layered with a visually stunning assortment of fresh fruit, elevating both the flavor profile and presentation for a whole new way to enjoy fruit.
