Oymyakon is located in northeastern Siberia, at an altitude of about 741 meters, and is famous as the coldest inhabited place on Earth. The average winter low here is -62°C, yet its roughly 500 residents still go to school, work, and shop as usual... We Hong Kongers really can’t compare, can we?

What’s it like living here? Even your hair and eyelashes freeze, like special effects makeup. But in Oymyakon, you can witness magical snowscapes straight out of *Frozen*—maybe braving the cold is worth it.
