Tropical Storm Nida (No. 4) is about to form. For three consecutive days, Taipei City has once again seen temperatures hit 38°C, the first time such a streak has been recorded since the Taipei Weather Station was established 120 years ago. Weather forecasters pointed out that the weak tropical storm "Nida" is likely to form within the next one or two days, and is predicted to move northwest toward Luzon. The extent of its impact on Taiwan still needs further observation, and it is not ruled out that a sea typhoon warning may be issued as early as the evening of August 1.

Forecasters also mentioned that the current tropical depression is about 1,200 kilometers from Eluanbi. Once it develops into a typhoon, it will first pass through Luzon, with possible future paths moving either west-northwest or northwest. Due to the moisture brought by the tropical depression east of the Philippines, brief afternoon thunderstorms are expected in central, southern, and southeastern mountainous areas. Everyone is advised to take sun protection measures, stay hydrated, carry rain gear when going out, and keep an eye on the storm’s developments.
