In-flight passenger comfort gets an upgrade again as Emirates launches the world’s first interactive economy class overnight kit featuring augmented reality (AR) technology. Passengers can enjoy fun experiences such as music and games through their personal mobile devices. The stylish overnight kits come in six designs, inspired by the six continents, incorporating unique colors and patterns from regions such as Australasia, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

Emirates’ new AR economy class overnight kits include a range of essentials to enhance long-haul comfort, such as eye masks, earplugs, toothbrush and toothpaste sets, and socks to keep feet warm. The design of these items complements the appearance of the overnight kit. The outer pouch of the kit is made of waterproof synthetic rubber, allowing passengers to take it with them and reuse it. To access the AR features, passengers simply need to download the Blippar app, scan the overnight kit, and enjoy a variety of entertainment services.

Starting now, Emirates’ AR economy class overnight kits provide a more comfortable and enjoyable flying experience for passengers on select long-haul and all ultra-long-haul flights. Additionally, free Wi-Fi is available on all A380 aircraft and some B777 aircraft.
