Enjoy a dreamy European-style, fresh and romantic Hualien mini-trip at Snow Cloud Castle

The long-awaited Hualien trip was finally happening — I booked my train tickets and decided to go light. For this relaxing getaway, I didn’t want just any ordinary accommodation. Aside from enjoying beautiful scenery, I was also hoping for a unique and memorable stay. Snow Cloud Castle was exactly that — an amazing choice. From the moment you see it, it takes your breath away. Not only does arriving in Hualien make you forget the fast-paced city life, but stepping into Snow Cloud Castle gives you the illusion of having left Taiwan altogether. The stunning European castle scenery here creates a surreal feeling of time and space displacement, and the romantic European vibe makes you just want to immerse yourself in it completely.

Upon arriving at Snow Cloud Castle and preparing to check in, the exterior of the building made me feel as if I had truly left Taiwan and stepped completely away from my usual living environment. A sense of relaxation and joy washed over me effortlessly. Such a beautiful environment truly has that kind of magic — instantly wiping away worries, making you just want to rest and enjoy yourself here. The European fairytale-like atmosphere here has completely won me over.

Entering my room — Room No. 6 ‘Alyssa’. As I pushed open the door, a serene and comforting sense of beauty washed over me. The room featured lovely curtains and wallpaper, with tables, chairs, and lamps all placed just right. The elegant light-colored decor, dark wooden flooring, and bright windows with excellent natural light made it perfect for spending the whole day reading or daydreaming in bed. The calm, understated, yet soft and cozy atmosphere instantly made me fall in love with this room. I feel so lucky to be staying here for this little Hualien trip.

Snow Cloud Castle isn’t just a place to spend the night. The castle is filled with delicate European-style design and decor. Photography enthusiasts will find countless spots to capture stunning images. Everywhere you look feels like a beautiful painting. After asking the staff, I learned that every piece of furniture here carries the marks of time. From the moment you walk into the lobby, you can’t help but be amazed — it feels like visiting a classic European heritage site. Every item on display is an antique with character, carefully collected over many years by the owners, the Tsai family. Each piece is a precious treasure.
