Ruins Vibe in an Old House: Pingtung’s Newly Opened Dreamy "Glass House" Café

Pingtung also has a dreamy glass house café！ The historic site "Yi-Qian Dahe Coffee" in downtown Pingtung newly launched a glass house café "Dahe Dun Wu Suo" in 2017, filled with the ruins-like charm of old house history and aesthetically pleasing decor that has captured the hearts of many locals. The historic Dahe Inn in downtown Pingtung was reborn as Yi-Qian Dahe Coffee in 2016 to continue its story. In 2017, the Dahe team took it a step further by creating a new café, different from the Japanese architectural style of Yi-Qian Dahe Coffee, this new café incorporates the currently popular glass house and industrial styles.

The glass house café is a very popular style in recent years, taking up quite a bit of space on Instagram. When sunlight pours into the room, it creates an extremely dreamy feeling, and the wide view is very soothing. The Dahe Dun Wu Suo, which opened at the end of February, is located at Zhutian Railway Station. It was originally a 74-year-old Dexing Rice Mill, which later became a ruin-like old warehouse. Under the hands of the Dahe team, the original brick wall structure was preserved, retaining the historical atmosphere of the old house. Paired with large areas of glass, sunlight naturally streams in, creating a spacious space that has an old vibe, is comfortable, and beautiful.

Like Yi-Qian Dahe Café, the coffee at Dahe Dun Wu Suo is naturally excellent. Coffee lovers can definitely find satisfaction here, with a variety of single-origin coffees, lattes, teas, and more to choose from. There are also cakes, savory pies, and other desserts placed at the counter. Enjoy a latte and a lemon tart, sit by the window, and you can have a cozy and lazy afternoon！
