Universal Studios Japan’s ‘The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’ presents its most special 'Winter in The Wizarding World' for the first time ever from November 18 (Fri), 2016 to January 9 (Mon), 2017 — a 54-day celebration that marks the wizarding world's first-ever Christmas. The village of witches and wizards, Hogsmeade, will be adorned with festive Christmas decorations, showcasing a brand-new look that makes visitors feel as if they've stepped straight into a never-before-seen Christmas scene — drawing you even deeper into the world of the films. In addition, seasonal winter-only warm food and beverages will be offered, allowing guests to enjoy the magical world of Harry Potter in winter with all five senses.

Thick snow blankets the rooftops, and stone buildings connected by icy icicles create a snowy wonderland. In the snow-covered 'Wizarding World of Harry Potter', winter is the most magical and beautiful season. This winter has been touched by the magic of the wizards from Hogsmeade, with handcrafted Christmas wreaths and ornaments beautifully adorning every corner of this magical world — from the entrance archway to the heart of the village. As you step inside, a dazzling Christmas tree comes into view, reminiscent of the moment the towering Christmas tree appears in the Great Hall of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

For the first time ever, Hogsmeade introduces limited-time magical experiences where visitors can cast spells on the Christmas tree. During the day, the snow on the rooftops sparkles in the sunlight, and guests can perform magic on the magnificent tree. At night, the entire village is bathed in the glow of warm lights as you cast spells on the brilliantly shining Christmas tree. With different magical experiences available during both day and night, everyone can feel the same joy and excitement as the students of Hogwarts when their spells succeed.

Additionally, as a highlight of the winter-exclusive offerings, the ultra-popular 'Butterbeer' will make its return along with a Christmas-themed limited-edition mug. Savor the famous 'Butterbeer' while enjoying the movie-inspired "foam mustache" experience. There will also be a newly launched luxurious, oversized holiday meal — the 'Christmas Feast' — perfect to share with family and friends.
