2016 Korea Culture & Tourism Expo: Gary and Bii Lead the Hallyu Wave

‘Enjoy Your Innovative Korea – 2016 Korea Culture & Tourism Expo’ is a comprehensive Korean exhibition that follows up on the huge success of ‘Annie Korea！2014 Korea Culture & Tourism Comprehensive Expo’. President Jung Chang-soo of the Korea Tourism Organization headquarters came to Taiwan in person, bringing popular stars such as Gary and Bii, aiming to let everyone experience the diverse charm and latest trends of Korea.

This expo was held at LEGACY in Huashan 1914 Creative Park, inviting a total of 20 organizations and 26 booths. It featured not only delicious Korean food tastings, the coolest innovative travel companies and introductions to Korean attractions, but also a variety of experiences and exciting stage performances. The Korea Culture & Tourism Expo aims to create another strong wave of Hallyu.

The 2016 Korea Culture & Tourism Expo is not only free to enter, but also offers a wealth of attractive benefits in various zones (see Appendix 1 for participating organizations). The travel zone invited multiple travel agencies to offer the hottest themed travel products. The experience zone provided a cultural experience of traditional Korean houses, including Hanbok try-ons, tuho games, card game competitions, and traditional Korean folk games. Another area offered a cutting-edge VR experience zone, where visitors could enjoy the wonders of WOW Pyeongchang and selected regional tours in Korea. Meanwhile, the Korean food experience zone periodically offered samples of samgyetang (chicken ginseng soup), yuzu tea, kimchi, and congee. Fans of Korean cuisine could also purchase food items to take home.
