The extreme wonder of the Moon World in Tianliao District, Kaohsiung, features otherworldly badland terrain resembling the surface of the moon due to its unique and rugged mudstone geology. The mud volcano landscape here creates numerous eruptions and unusual landforms, including shallow gullies, V-shaped valleys, mudstone, and mud vents.

The Kaohsiung City Government has also developed the "Moon World Landform Park" here. In addition to observation decks and wooden sky ladder trails, there is also the Moon-Viewing Pavilion where visitors can rest and enjoy a panoramic view of the Moon World. This has made it a popular choice for online and magazine photo shoots.

Mayor Tseng Tzu-wen of the Kaohsiung Tourism Bureau stated that the Moon World centers around the theme of "fantasy," complemented by diverse themed activities to promote Tianliao District in Kaohsiung. The highlight this time is a light sculpture projection that turns the entire Moon World into a stage, breaking conventions with a fantastical light and shadow show.

Opening Hours: Moon World is open all day. The Geological Interpretation Center is open from 10:00–17:00.
