Scenic Spots has compiled a list of six renowned European Christmas markets. These are not only the hottest attractions in Europe but also world-famous Christmas destinations frequented by global travelers.
 
1. Austria – Salzburg
Salzburg is world-renowned as the hometown of Mozart and the birthplace of the Christmas carol “Silent Night.” It boasts a rich festive atmosphere that is both grand and elegant. Its Old Town is even hailed as the “most beautiful shopping street in Austria.”

2. Austria – Vienna Christmas Market
This is the earliest-opening Christmas market in all of Europe. Located at Rathausplatz (City Hall Square), starting from early November, an electronic countdown clock is displayed on the tower of City Hall to mark the days to Christmas.
