◎ Dawai Sightseeing Factories Each Has Its Own Unique Features

There are four sightseeing factories in Keelung located in the Dawai Industrial Park. For example, Kuiyou International Co., Ltd. owns the unique Salt Lamp Energy Hall in Taiwan, promoting salt mine knowledge all year round without breaks. Yitai E-Bathroom Sightseeing Factory features the hottest new AR (augmented reality) technology and is also an officially certified sightseeing factory by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Others, such as Yuanzhang Science and Technology Museum and Sea’s Hot Pot Culture Hall, also have their own characteristics, helping the public learn about traditional industries through product marketing.

◎ Time Science & Art Experience Hall Be the Master of Time

Located in Tucheng District, New Taipei City, the Wangding Time Science & Art Experience Hall is Taiwan’s first sightseeing factory themed around time. It showcases the history and evolution of timepieces. The hall uses patented World Time technology to present exhibits. While visitors observe the watchmaking process, they can also try their hand at assembling watches, attracting both domestic and international tourists to visit.

◎ Shirakiba Brand Discovery Hall Enjoy Sweet Delights

Shirakiba, a pastry maker, operates its own sightseeing factory called the “Shirakiba Brand Discovery Hall.” Its service goes beyond delicious cakes, elevating customer satisfaction to customer inspiration. Using a “five-senses marketing” approach—“see” the uniquely beautiful cake designs, “hear” the relaxing background music, “smell” the rich and bold aromas, “touch” the solid texture of the pastries, and “taste” the sweet yet not greasy delightful flavors—it creates product differentiation and leaves a deep impression on visitors.

◎ Baquan Sweet Handmade Workshop DIY Desserts

Fengyuan in Taichung is known as the hometown of pastries. Baquan Bakery gained fame for its mini mooncakes. Chen Mengjun, the fourth-generation second daughter, saw the tourism business opportunities along the Dongfeng tourist route and established Fengyuan’s first pastry DIY factory, the “Baquan Sweet Handmade Workshop,” on Fengshi Road. In addition to classic souvenirs and the Four Heavenly Kings bread, it also offers free tea and resting areas for travelers passing by, along with Japanese-style dessert DIY experiences.

◎ Sauce Family Legacy Brewing a Century of Good Taste

The most famous specialties of Siluo Town in Yunlin County are Choushui rice and pure-brewed soy sauce. Marukan Soy Sauce has a brewing history of over a century and is also the first soy sauce factory in town to establish a sightseeing factory.

◎ Golden Pineapple Castle DIY Pineapple Cakes

The Golden Pineapple Castle, open for just over two years, is operated by the well-known pastry brand “Wei Qu Pie House.” The eight-story building resembles a European castle, and the mascots at the entrance and the thoughtfully designed décor are especially playful, making it highly suitable for family outings. Before the end of April, guided tours are completely free by reservation, and pineapple cake DIY experiences are only half price at NT$100, which is a great deal.
