Even during the renovation period, rumors emerged that H&M was dissatisfied with the monthly rent of NT$12 million (the original Eslite 116 rent was NT$8 million), and there were reports that the opening plan might be canceled. However, with the official grand opening at 11:00 AM on November 25, 2016, this brand-new H&M flagship store has become an important landmark in Ximending.

The H&M Ximending store held a grand opening party on the evening of November 24, featuring performances by artists such as Yoga Lin and Eddie Peng, generating significant publicity in the lead-up to the launch. Previously, UNIQLO was the largest affordable fast fashion brand in Ximending, but its location is farther from the MRT exit. The shifting dynamics of fast fashion brand prominence in Ximending will be interesting to watch.

This flagship store covers a total area of 1,500 ping (approximately 5,000 square meters), with sales floors spanning from the first to the fifth level, offering a full range of products including men’s and women’s apparel, children’s wear, and home furnishings.
