The savory-sweet combo of the Kyushu Pancake Christmas set goes on sale for festive joy

The Kyushu Pancake, originating from Japan’s Kyushu region, has been in Taiwan for nearly two years, reinventing nostalgic comfort food with local ingredients. To celebrate the highly anticipated Christmas season, from December 1 to December 25, it is launching a limited-time “Kyushu Pancake Christmas Couple Set,” featuring the “Kyushu Matcha Tiramisu Pancake,” as well as the option of the “Kyushu Matcha Mont Blanc Pancake,” along with the ever-popular “Kyushu BBQ Chicken Pancake.” This perfect pairing of one savory and one sweet main dish comes with fries and a choice of two drinks, priced at NT$990.

The “Kyushu BBQ Chicken Pancake” replaces the classic American deep-frying method with slow-roasted boneless chicken thigh that’s tender and crispy, glazed with a specially made Japanese-style BBQ sauce and paired with refreshing lime, served atop a seven-grain plain pancake and Caesar salad to enhance the light, Japanese-style flavor. The “Matcha Tiramisu Pancake” features specially made matcha sauce layered between each pancake, topped with a classic and exclusive tiramisu sauce made from mascarpone cheese, black honey, and fresh cream, then sprinkled with Uji matcha powder, and served with a matcha drizzle to add an intense matcha flavor.

The Kyushu Pancake Kitchen launches different monthly cooking experience themes, and this Christmas brings a brand-new experience—creating festive décor and a vibrant table garden that allows customers to try their hand at growing their own “potted tiramisu” right in the greenhouse. During the promotional period from December 1 to December 25, customers who purchase the limited-time “Kyushu Pancake Christmas Couple Set” at Kyushu Pancake Café, take a photo with the set, and upload it to Facebook with the hashtags #KyushuPancake #MerryChristmas will have the chance to participate for free in a Kyushu Pancake Kitchen dessert DIY cooking experience before the end of January 2017.
