The most beautiful elementary school in the world: Wuliang’s Light – Taiwu Elementary School

Located in Wulian, Pingtung, there is a beautiful hidden gem where the songs of the Paiwan people are sung. These songs carried them through the devastating Typhoon Morakot and the subsequent 88 Floods, and even won the Best Traditional Music Interpretation at the 23rd Golden Melody Awards. This is the school that scholars from the Japan Society of Civil Engineers rated as the most beautiful elementary school in the world. Having undergone four relocations and two and a half years of wandering, Taiwu Elementary School has taken root and flourished in the Ilaluvaz permanent housing community.
