The premium all-inclusive resort brand Club Med has opened its second ski resort in Hokkaido, “Club Med Tomamu Hokkaido.” A grand opening ceremony was held on the 17th, along with the announcement that the resort will open for the first time this summer from June 30 to October 3. Visitors can enjoy a variety of summer activities such as trapeze, archery, forest hiking, mountain biking, and golf.

Located in the central Tomamu area of Hokkaido, Club Med Tomamu Hokkaido features rich winter skiing experiences and authentic local cuisine. The resort spans over 145 hectares of ski slopes, with 29 professionally maintained trails for all levels—from beginner to advanced. With age- and level-appropriate ski lessons for children aged 4 and up, all-day lift passes that include free use of gondolas and chairlifts, and access to different difficulty levels, skiers of any experience can discover the joy of skiing.

Beyond skiing, there are numerous non-ski activities to enjoy. Snowshoeing, for example, is a popular outdoor activity where professional G.Os (Gentils Organisateurs) guide guests through forests and ski trails around the resort, allowing them to take in Hokkaido’s natural beauty. Indoor options include stretching yoga sessions, exciting themed entertainment shows and parties every night, and the Mina Mina Smile Beach, just a 2-minute walk from the resort, where you can enjoy being enveloped by warm, sunny-like waves even in winter. A visit to Ice Village, which offers a variety of ice- and snow-themed activities, is also a fun option.

The resort’s four restaurants and bars offer all-day dining services. The all-day dining Itara Main Restaurant features international buffet cuisine and Japanese dishes. At Haku, the themed restaurant, fresh ingredients are sourced directly from local Hokkaido farms, offering authentic Japanese yakiniku and premium Hokkaido wagyu beef. For whiskey and sake enthusiasts, The Nest bar is the perfect spot to savor fine drinks.
