Unlimited slots for free Thai visa processing within the designated period

The Thai government, aiming to boost tourism, recently announced that from December 1 to February 28, 2017, travelers to Thailand can enjoy a waiver of the 1,200 baht visa fee, but with a daily limit of 2,000 slots, leading to a mad rush among applicants. On December 9, the Thai Trade and Economic Office posted a notice stating that starting December 12, the quota will be removed and all travelers can apply for a visa fee exemption.

From December 12 to February 28, 2017, the tourist visa fee exemption offer is available. Travelers who submit applications in person can do so daily between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM, while agencies can submit between 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM. Applications can be collected between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM on the next working day. Those planning a trip to Southeast Asia might consider adding a visit to Thailand to enjoy the atmosphere of this world-famous cultural capital.
