Step through the gates of Universal Studios Japan’s 15th anniversary celebration, and an exhilarating journey begins. Hop on the “Flying Dinosaur” ride and enjoy the heart-pounding thrill of a 360-degree spin with a bird’s-eye view from high above. Join Elmo and the Minions in the 15th anniversary parade, swinging along to the upbeat music. Before you can catch your breath, plunge into the magical world of Harry Potter, soar through the skies and dive underground, then sip on a sweet butterbeer. Feast on the delicacies at the Christmas market and embrace the warm, heartfelt winter night under a sky bursting with fireworks and radiant starlight.

Ushering in the “Universal Wonder Christmas” event from now until January 9, 2017, Universal Studios Japan, adorned with snowy scenery, is already brimming with festive cheer. Colorful, dazzling lights, seasonal Christmas merchandise, fragrant market foods, and non-stop entertaining performances create a double celebration for both the 15th anniversary and Christmas, doubling the joy and multiplying the wonder.
 
 
Heart-racing thrills that flip the sky
 
The themed rides, customized for each area of the park, are a must-do when visiting Universal Studios Japan. The “Hollywood Dream” roller coaster, whether you ride forward or backward, is sure to elicit screams of excitement. With high-tempo music playing through individual seats, the vehicle slowly climbs to the top before its first sudden drop, instantly releasing all the tension in your body. Quietly open your tightly shut eyes, relax your body, and feel the rush of speed—there’s a moment when you might feel like you’ve become part of the wind, flying through the air.

Another hugely popular ride with long queues is the “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™ in 4K3D.” Pass through the dimly lit rooms within the castle, put on 3D glasses, and enter the magical world of Harry Potter. Sit in seats that flip 180 degrees and soar, dive, and spin along with the movie scenes projected on screen, embarking on an exhilarating scream-filled journey with Harry Potter.

And to celebrate its 15th anniversary, a new Jurassic Park ride has been introduced—the “Flying Dinosaur,” touted as the “world’s longest” and featuring the “greatest height difference” among flying roller coasters. With your feet dangling and facing the ground head-on, it feels as if you’re being carried into the sky by a pterodactyl. Once you overcome the fear of the climb, the sudden drop that follows will take your breath away, succeeded by graceful, bird-like loops that fulfill multiple flying thrills in one ride.

A once-a-year spectacular party
 
Meet the park’s most popular Minions parade, where rows of Minions pose for photos with visitors, hugging or holding them, occasionally flashing funny and witty expressions that keep both kids and adults laughing non-stop. The 15th-anniversary “RE-BOOOOOOOORN!” parade, set to upbeat songs, features floats loaded with characters from various fantasy worlds, dancing and inviting everyone to join in the fun. Amid the high-energy music, a flurry of bubbles is sprayed into the sky, creating a romantic scene like a snowfall, bringing the event to its climax.

Head to the “Christmas RE-BOOOOOOOORN Market” for a feast, where limited-edition festival foods beckon visitors. In addition to Christmas Minion popcorn buckets, candied churros, Minion and Elmo curry buns, festive turkey legs, and bread soup… not only do they catch the eye, but they also taste delicious. Try your luck at games for a chance to win huge surprises.
  
As night falls, “The Miracle of the Angels III ~The Voice of an Angel~” takes the stage, presenting a love story from Christmas Eve through a dynamic light show. Accompanied by music, angels and glowing orbs symbolizing love slowly rise and gather, instantly illuminating the Guinness World Record-winning “World’s Largest Light Christmas Tree” for the fifth consecutive year. Fireworks and light interweave, heralding the magnificent rebirth of Christmas night.
