Taiwan’s first-ever container restaurant market opens in Xinyi District with 20 popular eateries

With Christmas approaching, cities across Taiwan are hosting various holiday celebrations, and Taipei’s Xinyi District is the most festive of all. Following the Strasbourg Christmas Market at Taipei 101, another highlight nearby—located beside Shin Kong Mitsukoshi A9 and formerly the site of the Chung Hsing Building—COMMUNE A7 has kicked off the season just before Christmas by launching Taiwan’s first container restaurant market. Opened for a soft launch on December 16, the space features a variety of international cuisines including American, European, and Hong Kong-style dishes, with around 20 popular dining brands setting up shop. The area also boasts a striking replica of Osaka’s iconic “Mr. Glico” signboard, making Xinyi District a true foodie battleground.
