Penguin Parade & Animal Train: Winter’s Most Adorable Event Kicks Off

Hokkaido always offers plenty of fun activities and celebrations every winter, from skiing and light displays to snow festivals. This time, HowToTrip would like to introduce a rather unique winter event — the Asahiyama Zoo in Hokkaido. The zoo opens every winter, and when it does, the cold-climate animals become most active. Here you can see polar foxes, wolves, seals, polar bears, and penguins — cold-climate creatures not often seen in tropical regions. One particularly adorable event is the Penguin Parade. In addition, riding the Animal Train is also a highly entertaining experience, making it a perfect festival for families to enjoy together.
