At an altitude of 1,084 meters, Lake Haruna is Japan’s second-highest lake. The scenic view of Mount Haruna and its reflection on the lake has earned it the nickname “Little Mount Fuji of Haruna.” In winter, when the lake freezes over, it takes on a completely different beauty. Nearby facilities and services such as ice skating and cable cars offer visitors a variety of winter activities.
