A new popular spot in Taichung’s Liuchuan rivalling the scenic beauty of Paris’s Seine River

In recent years, the government has continuously created fantastical landmarks and attractions across Taiwan. Aside from optimizing space utilization, these redevelopment projects emphasize energy conservation, environmental protection, and ecological friendliness—all aimed at building Taiwan into a green-energy city and an international destination. Recently, Taichung just opened the Liuchuan Blue Ribbon Waterfront, a nearly two-year revitalization project that has transformed the Greater Taichung area into a city that balances sustainable development with the promotion of local tourism. The Liuchuan section is located along Section 1 of Taiwan Boulevard to Minquan Road in Taichung City, passing cultural and historical sites such as the Taichung Literature Museum, the Fifth Market, and Lin Zhizhu’s Art Studio. Even before its completion, the Liuchuan redevelopment project was honored with the Executive Yuan’s Gold Quality Award, making it the newest popular attraction in Taichung.
