Limited-Time Wish-Granting Children Art Installation in Taitung Brings Positive Energy

Jimmy Liao-themed public art installations have become increasingly popular in recent years, with healing designs spotted all over Taiwan. Now, eight Wish-Granting Children have arrived in Taitung, inspired by Jimmy Liao’s artwork, offering thought-provoking and uplifting public installations that radiate positive energy. National Taitung Junior College of Technology recently welcomed the installation of these eight Wish-Granting Children. Due to2016years of severe typhoon damage causing campus destruction, some areas remain unrepaired, and the presence of the Wish-Granting Children has also drawn public attention to the plight of Taitung’s disaster victims.

These eight adorable Wish-Granting Children come from2014year’s Jimmy Liao public art installation at TSMC in the Southern Taiwan Science Park. The concept was inspired by Jimmy Liao’s("If I Could Make a Wish"). Currently installed on the right side of the main gate at the school’s Chengpu Campus, this unique art piece depicts children with hands clasped and heads bowed in prayer—showing how dreams become real through the act of wishing, inspiring the motivation to fulfill them.

National Taitung Junior College hopes to uplift disaster victims through the spirit and messages conveyed by picture books, encouraging moments of reflection and emotional renewal, thereby reigniting the motivation to dream and embrace the future. The Wish-Granting Children installation will be displayed from now until106year,3month,15day, and is recommended for all travelers to visit, take photos, make wishes, and pray for blessings.
