Seventy thousand pots of flowers bloom in unison at Yanping Riverside, creating a stunning sea of blossoms

Last year, flower seas were also planted at Dunhuang Wharf, but this year the number has increased, with72,000pots of plants arranged into a floral tapestry design, including Salvia farinacea, yellow-flowered Lantana camara, and red and pink varieties of Begonia semperflorens, creating a magnificent and eye-catching sight. The plaza green space has been transformed into a vibrant display of nature’s colorful hues, bringing the warmth and richness of spring to Taipei’s winter riverside.

The flower sea is located beneath the Dihua Levee Crossing Landscape Platform. It is recommended that visitors enter from Dadaocheng Wharf, where there is parking and a riverside bike rental station. You can stroll along the riverside footpath to enjoy the scenic landscape, or bike for about10-15minutes to reach the flower sea. You can also climb up to the two nearby levee crossing landscape platforms, which not only offer a bird’s-eye view of the entire flower sea but also provide views of numerous airplanes flying overhead.
