Cloudy Flower Sea Festival in Yunlin: A Top Choice for Spring Flower Viewing Trips

To promote an eco-friendly environment, farmland improvement policies, and enhance agricultural tourism and leisure experiences, the Yunlin County Government has specifically chosen Hutang Hesha Li to host the Cloudy Flower Sea Festival. After years of development, the festival has become the most romantic flower viewing destination during the Spring Festival season. The first batch of flower blooms in Hesha Li is currently unfolding, with more flowers expected to gradually flourish after New Year’s Day. This year, the flower field covers approximately 30 hectares, and the blooming period is expected to last until the end of the Spring Festival. The opening ceremony of the Cloudy Flower Sea Festival is scheduled for mid-January in the Gregorian calendar and will continue blooming through the Lunar New Year.

1. Flowers in Hesha Li are gradually blooming; there are currently no access restrictions, and visitors are welcome to come and enjoy the view.

2. Transportation options:

(1) Take a taxi directly from Yunlin High-Speed Rail Station or Douliu Railway Station to the flower sea area.

(2) Yunlin High-Speed Rail Station: Take the High-Speed Rail Express Bus from Yunlin High-Speed Rail Station to Damei Station, then cross the street to the 7-11 and take the Taisi Bus route ‘Douliu–Xiluo (via Raoping)’. Get off at Hesha Li Station to reach the flower sea area.

(3) Douliu Railway Station: Walk to the rear entrance of Douliu Railway Station and take the Taisi Bus route ‘Douliu–Xiluo (via Raoping)’. Get off at Hesha Li Station to reach the flower sea area.

(4) Self-driving: Exit at Xiluo Interchange on National Freeway No. 1, then drive south along Provincial Highway No. 1 toward the direction of Hutang. Before entering the urban area, turn left onto the outer ring road, then turn left onto County Road Yun 1-56 toward Raoping. There is no designated parking lot, but you can park along the way to view the flowers. However, traffic congestion may be unavoidable during holiday periods.
