Over 20 light art installations illuminate the Yuejin Harbor Lantern Festival

Not sure where to go for a festive stroll during Lunar New Year? The grand lantern festival event across Taiwan — the 2017 Yuejin Harbor Lantern Festival — officially kicks off on January 21. This year’s exhibition is themed “A Tribute to the Four Seasons,” featuring nearly 50 light art installations, including seven large-scale land art pieces and four works by international artists. These are installed above the scenic waters of Yuejin Harbor in Yanshui, using four colors to evoke the ambiance of the four seasons. Paired with large-scale highlight land art pieces, they present a unique, dreamlike spectacle that stands apart from traditional lantern displays. Strolling through the seasonally themed lantern zones offers a visual experience unlike any other.
