New Family-Friendly Attraction: Come Together for Fun at the Multimedia Interactive Experience Center

Yilan’s “Come Together for Fun Multimedia Interactive Experience Center” officially opened on April 1, serving as the area’s first high-tech multimedia tourism experience center. Entirely founded by Yilan locals returning from careers in high-tech and digital multimedia industries, it took two years and an investment of 40 million NTD to develop a 500-ping (approximately 1,650 m²) digital gaming and education space. The center features three major themed areas: the “Game Challenge Hall,” the “AR Parent-Child Interactive Hall,” and the “VR Education Hall,” showcasing a host of exclusive interactive technologies. Additionally, discounted tickets were available during the winter holiday trial period, allowing interested visitors to be among the first to experience this ultra-popular and exclusive technology.

The “AR Parent-Child Interactive Hall” primarily targets families and young visitors, featuring the world’s first “AR 3D Graffiti Aquarium” as its centerpiece. Flat doodle fish drawn on paper come to life in 3D through a smartphone or tablet app using AR technology, swimming as if in water and swaying with the currents. These can also be directly uploaded to a large aquarium display on-site for real-time interaction. The venue also includes six other motion-controlled games, offering families a whole new world of fantastical, interactive experiences.

The “Game Challenge Hall” is built around a storyline inspired by Yilan’s culture and landscapes, combining elements such as escape rooms, haunted houses, RPG adventures, shooting games, mazes, sports, and technology into seven challenging levels. Participants solve puzzles and advance through various themed scenes. The course not only connects to Yilan’s historic “Tōo-Tōo-Tâng” (train tunnel) but also incorporates “floating projection” technology, making visitors feel as though they’ve stepped into Yilan’s coastal scenery. The final level, the “Dragon Quest Hall,” requires all participants to pedal together on stationary bikes, summoning a “floating projection” dragon—surprises abound, and excitement is guaranteed.

The “VR Education Hall” is home to Taiwan’s first educational VR video production studio and DIY VR glasses workshop. In addition to on-site staff providing guided instruction, the venue also offers a dedicated studio where visitors can film their own custom VR videos with family and friends. The finished videos can be uploaded to Facebook, YouTube, and viewed instantly using self-made VR glasses—making it easy for everyone to step into the magical world of virtual reality. Creating VR content has never been simpler.
