Mitsui Outlet Park’s new restaurant – A Hollywood-style Hello Kitty themed eatery

Themed restaurants are popping up all over Taiwan. Aside from their uniquely designed exteriors, the interiors, furnishings, and tableware are also meticulously crafted. Located in Linkou, Mitsui Outlet Park debuted Taiwan’s first-ever Hollywood-spec themed restaurant on Chinese New Year’s Day. Mitsui Outlet Park’s Vieshow Cinemas collaborated with Sanrio for the first time to open the Hello Kitty Red Carpet American Restaurant, which features an American retro theme and breaks away from the usual image of Hello Kitty. Even before its official opening, it had sparked heated discussions online.

The Hello Kitty Red Carpet American Restaurant creates a vintage cinema atmosphere, with the entrance transformed into a ticket booth—stepping inside feels like entering an old-style movie theater. In addition to its decor, the restaurant features large plush toys, exquisite dishes, and themed tableware that are all very eye-catching, generating widespread public discussion.
