1,500 lanterns on Flower Lantern Street – stunning day and night at the Sky Pujidian

Tainan is not just a food capital, but also Taiwan’s cultural ancient capital, home to numerous historical sites and temples. Among them is the 350-year-old FuCheng Pujidian Weiling Wang Chi-Fu Qian Sui, Taiwan’s earliest temple dedicated to a Wangye deity. Aside from being a local place of worship, it also hosts many traditional events every year to strengthen community bonds and attract visitors from afar. This year marks the fifth consecutive year of its creative lantern exhibition, which is larger and more spectacular than ever before. Over 1,500 lanterns are strung up along the streets, complemented by a dazzling multi-colored phoenix as the main lantern themed around the Year of the Rooster, creating a breathtaking nighttime scene.
