Zhangye National Geopark, Gansu – Located in Zhangye City, Gansu Province, China, this national geopark is world-renowned for its rainbow-like mountains and has been recognized by China as one of the most beautiful landforms. These smooth yet steep rocks were formed through 24 million years of sedimentation and years of wind and rain erosion, eventually being sculpted into today’s uniquely colorful landscape.

Ijen Volcano – Located in the eastern part of Java Island, Indonesia, it consists of multiple small compound volcanoes forming a 20-kilometer-wide crater. It is famous for its blue sulfur flames and the crater lake. However, the volcano’s rich sulfur also produces a very strong smell, especially when the sulfur burns, which is toxic.

Blood Falls – Located in Taylor Valley, Victoria Land, Antarctica, the water here is rich in iron oxide. This iron-rich lake water flows out from the cracks in the glacier, and the iron rapidly oxidizes upon exposure to oxygen in the air, creating this spectacular sight where the water turns deep red—hence the name Blood Falls.

Egg Beach – A few miles off the coast of Mexico lies a secluded island called Marieta Islands. Influenced by volcanic activity thousands of years ago, this area features a beach surrounded by ring-shaped volcanic rock. From the outside, it looks like an ordinary rocky island, but diving beneath the sea reveals a hidden world, resembling an open-domed sports stadium.
